VERY interesting.

Reading it, I would blame the RC pilot completely.

Very different from what impression I had watching the video.

Yea... I would agree but I was thinking the NTSB would lean toward the full-scale.

It doesn't mention the radio communication between ground and the bipe. When what was said and when gets sorted out it could sound very different.

yeah this is the "interesting" part...

The bi-plane is seen flying from the north to south in straight and level flight when the radio controlled airplane climbs directly into the bi-planes flight path.

Unfortunately, this is true.

It looks like the rc pilot got some warning, he drifted it off the runway, over the grass as he squatted down. The rc plane did climb into the path of the fullscale plane.

I also note the report calls it a "go around" not an aerial display...

Full speed, 20' off the deck, with smoke on, is a go around?

A "go around", by definition is...

A go-around is an aborted landing of an aircraft which is on final approach.
