Absolutely... microheli and Rakonheli are a couple of upgrade mod comapnies that make parts for our 120SR's. Valuerc and boomtownhobbies are a couple of great websites to buy them from (among others not on the top of my head).

Nah... I get at least 4:30 - 5 minutes each flight. I am more than happy with this flgith time, especially since I have 4 550mAh 25C batteries.

That brings up something I've been meaning to ask. Since I broke a control ball on my first flight I haven't yet put an entire pack through my 120sr.... once I get back in the air, how long should I set a timer using stock battery and motor? ... I'd like to know the max you can push it just before hitting LVC... I'd then probably back the time off a bit but I'd like to know how much of a safety net I'll have before landing after timer going off but not hitting LVC. I could figure it out myself by running it to LVC just once but don't want to do that if I can help it...

... I normally don't worry too much about my cheap lipos... like John Salt, I consider them cheap and disposeable, but my E-flite 500 is brand new and cost me 12 bucks and I'd like to charge and discharge this one properly, preferring not to hit LVC even once to find out where I should be setting my timer... at least while it's new and strong (once it eventually weakens, and they all do regardless of brand and proper maintenance, I don't really care as much about hitting LVC).

What seems to be the best skids to use for RKH upgrades? I have everything but the cf skids. I just built it, and had a pair of Walkera 5#10 skids that I used. They seem to work well, not too big or too heavy. Just thought I'd get some input. Thanks

My 120 sounds terrible. It flies well but it just sounds like there are a lot of vibrations. Anyone know what's going on?

That looks sweet! Have the flight characteristics changed much?
The skids look lighter than a T Rex 250

I just flew it in the kitchen for now, flies very nice. Very balanced, a lot more more responsive. Can't wait to take her outside. The skids are about half the size of Walkera v200 skids, the tubes are about 1/8" diameter, very light. I guess Trex 250 skids are probably about the same size as the v200 ones, not sure though. The 5#10heli skids are about the same size as stock 120 skids. I'll report back when I get the chance to really fly her. Thanks for the compliment.

Ya know, I was looking at my 120SR next to my cx2 and comparing the blades. The 120's blades are nearly identical in size and form to the CX2's lowers. Has anyone tried to use something like....

THESE?

Can someone please tell me the diameter of the T-Rex 250 skids pipes? Also, are the pipes for the 450 or 500 thicker than the 250's or are they maybe the same? I'm going to order the Xtreme motor and might add the pipes and some other stuff to make the shipping expense worthwhile.

Thanks.

You just made a really good friend with this info!!!! No, this motor puts out more and I saw no loss of time in the air--not saying there isn't more battery used, but it's at least negligible.

If you use the search function above and look for "80% rule" you will see the links to this information. You won't get a set time, but you can check how much mah you are using and figure out how far you can go before using 80%.
