+1 and the Quark SG is even more stable, but is a CP heli. My current favorite heli.

yeh but it can it bind to a DX6i. I have been looking at a walkera lama 3 but its like $300 + which makes it not worth it once you add a spektrum RX into it.

I think ill persist with the blade SR until i learn it and get good with it.

The SG is also $750+ and still has an older FM radio :-\

It's a shame so many people are stuck thinking a 2.4GHz radio is a make-or-break situation.

Shame or not I prefer not have the frequency issue and big ass antenna. With so many other options around it does become a negative aspect for some. But it also not being able to get parts easily and the proprietary battery, etc. Still looking at it as an option however, just have to weigh pros and cons.

All of those were considerations for me as well, but once I started flying the Quark, it was well worth it. It flies far better than the mSR, and I can't imagine a larger mSR performing better than the Quark. We'll see I suppose, but as it stands the Quark is the best FP helicopter I've ever flown.

Technica - Thanks for the feedback. I've no doubt it flies well, that is mostly what I've heard. Will be interesting to see how the 120 stacks up, as well as the new Walkera flybarless FPs.

Still the price of the FP quark jusy dropped but it used to be higher, and the CP which is an outlandish price I am sure flys great is far to expensive.

FM TX, long antenna, parts availability, price of parts and heli are also high. Plus I hear that both quarks can't handle much wind and one is a CP. I know they fly great; there is no doubt about that, but the pros vs. cons is a neck in neck battle; not sure if it's worth it with all the other readily available, cheaper more accessibile options.

That actually looked pretty fun. I have issues with x-heli though. I have not liked them for a very long time. I mean, just look at the video. here we are showing you this new model. Oh sorry, this isn't the canopy that comes with it, I..uh.. lost it. That is the kind of quality issues I have with x-heli.
But again, nice looking heli.

Oh as a side note. If you get the 2801-e transmitter from walkera, it will fly most of their heli's. so basically you have the dx6i for the dsm2 stuff and the 2801 for the walkera stuff. Thats what I ended up doing.
