True. For some reason that vid you did (of old) stuck in my head and reminded me of your recent story about "Gracie" in your blog. It must have been the setting....lol.

Too funny my Friend,,,..too funny.

Yup. I started with this.

Then I got a parallel JST 6-plug octopus and several little 4-plug parallel boards like the one you have up there but which had JST plugs. So now I can charge 24 E-Flite-style (MSR, MSRX) batteries all at once or 6 120SR batteries all at once. Great fun.

That there is the key to flying this bird in the wind....

The reason Fp heli's don't do well in the wind is something called transitional lift, which is where when the heli is moving forward, the rotor disk acts like a wing, giving you extra lift. THe heli goes up, and in order to keep it from going too high, you have to lower the throttle, but when you lower the throttle, headspeed goes down, and the lower your headspeed, the less control you have.... with too much wind the heli either flys higher and higher never to be seen again, or flops out of the sky because you have to lower the throttle so much you lost stability.....

With the 120sr, when the wind catches it and brings it up higher, rather than lower the throttle what you do is RAISE the throttle and give full forward cyclic, the nose will come down, just be ready to give aft cyclic to stop your decent......

You definatly want to have orientation down before flying in the wind, but once you are there, you can fly in more than you might think.....

I'm just trying to figure out if I can put 120sr and my ultra micros on it at the same time. From what I know about how to use (I saved a pdf of the hyperion website product page) I don't see why not as long as I add up all my mah's and use the total in my calculation of the C rate I want to charge at (and that they're all at a similar state of discharge which is really the resting voltage you're concerned with and not capacities).

This is really good advice. I will have to see if this is what I do because I never really analyzed what it is I'm doing to keep it down.

I've seen where you can hook up different sizes of batteries. It's explained that when one battery is filled, the electrons "spill" over into the next battery and continues on down the line. Saying that, I've been too chicken to try anything more than 40mah difference in batteries. Let me know if you think you still get the same level of charge as you would with all the same size.

Been wondering the thing same myself Jake, as you may remember I sent him an HP6DSM, so I have been in contact with him more than the average member.

I have sent him a couple PM's lately to see how he is getting along with his Phoenix/HP6DSM combo, and have not gotten a reply.

Hope he is still on board.
