From my perspective, the planes NOT being able to land at Valdosta, GA was weird.

AX,
I apologise for not being in a more appropriate aircraft while y'all were trying to navigate but,
everybody gets one of those annoying insects in the cockpit occasionaly!
Had fun, thanks!
Mike.

Just found out that Gamespy is now owned by an outfit called Glu
Gamespy was bought out on August 6th, 2012

Apparently they do not support FSX as it is not listed on their site. I set up a new account and password and neither work on FSX multiplayer. Apparently Glu only supports mobile phone gaming and apps.

Have no idea where support for FSX is coming from

(It'd be a hoot if it turned out to be some flight simmer tapping off some spare tetrabites from some government supercomputer!)

n, IGN and Gamespy no longer own Gamespy Technologies as of 2012 August 6.

Try creating a new username or password for FSX
It's now IMPOSSIBLE!!!!
You cannot change your user name, you can't set a new password, simply WILL NOT WORK!

The publisher of the game or software product you are using is responsible to correct problems.

This means MICROSOFT

It also means no none new can join up!
I already tried it, it does not work

I tried to sign up as a new user, and found it was impossible

Ed,
Just use your old sign in and stop trying to change them. I still get on with the two I have and never had a problem signing on. Mine has always been my connection not Gamespy (or whatever).?????
Good Luck

JT,
I've been doing that, using my regular username and password
All of a sudden my password will no longer work
It was working just fine, then one day it wouldn't work

I cannot reset it either! it's now impossible!

So I tried a second username and password account
It accepts the password, but say the username is invalid, but it's valid on the IGN website

I just got off the phone with a Microsoft rep I know from Oshkosh.
He said Microsoft is filing a lawsuit against Glu for software piracy
and patent infringement.

He also said at the present there is no online support of FSX and Microsoft has abandoned FSX and Microsoft Flight and will no longer help with bugs, etc
One of their moves may be to pull the FSX online multiplayer capability.
In other words they can turn off the lights!
They have reserved that right all along.

FSX online would simply "disappear!"

Right now they are getting hundereds of complaints from customers who purchased the FSX software and cannot access online multiplayer FSX games

It leaves them wide open for lawsuits!

The easiest way out is to pull the plug and all online fSX sites will simply go "lights out!"
This leaves only the use of the software on your own personal PC

But he said that presents a lot of problems also because FSX is used for online flight training by some rather large companies.
So I asked him why doesn't Microsoft set up their own online servers for FSX.
The answer is Microsoft execs don't wantthat to happen.
So right now it's all a BIG MESS!

FSX has been one of MS biggest selling products, why abandon it?

The MS FSX team is KAPUT and despite customer demands for more FSX products, MS is simply ignoring them

MS has set their sites and goals elsewhere.

I have both, but my password will no longer work

When I use my second IGN account, my password is accepted, but my username I get "invalid" username but it works on other gaming sites, just not FSX.
