Hey there Mike, I'll go sailplane flying with you!

I'm into older vintage type airplanes, jets just don't stroke strings!

I have an Oshkosh buddy you should meet , he shares an airport hangar with Roy Clark, he also is good frieends with Lulu Roman, Mel Tillis, Moe Bandy

His name is Joe Champagne, and he is a full scale pilot, has a Pitts s2 and a beautiful Luscombe he won "Best of Show" at Oshkosh this year.

Ed,
I'll take you up on that, maybe you can teach me how to find thermals in fsx!
I've got natural indicators selected but I never can see any!
(Maybe I need to add bigger birds to the sim objects/animals section?)
Mike.

(I just looked & couldn't find where the birds are in fsx so, the search begins!)

Nice Roger!!!! Hope it flies great!!!What type of ducted fans does it use?

CMP or Nitroplanes.com is having a sale, I'm not real big on ARFs but they have this DeHavilland Beaver in US Navy colors that is kind of tripping my trigger!
They also have a 71 inch Extra 300, but it seems like they are always "out of stock" on it.

They also have some coll T28's and T34 Mentors on sale.

The Beaver is really reasonable, I couldn't scratchbuild one for what they are selling it for! basically $139 and it is a large airplane

Gosh i cant wait to be a grown up...can buy whatever plane you want, when you want as long as you have the funds. I've got a process before i can order something...it needs to go through the approval of the authorities (parents), then i must give an explanation of why i want it, and then i must listen to a lecture given by my dad. Also, the authorities must be in a good mood, otherwise, forget about it... Then, if its the school year, good luck getting anything...I've been having a hard time trying to get approval to get some parts for my Ember 2!

P.S. All of it is being paid for out of my own money....many people assume that my parents are paying, but they are not.

Hey Ed, NO ducted Fans, it is a pusher Prop Jet. It has a Turnigy 3536-1300 with a 9x7 prop. It puts out about 52 oz of thrust and only weighs 26 oz. So it should fly with wings or without. It is scratch build from Depron Foam and total airframe cost was about $14 dollars.

Ed,
Have you checked this site out?http://www.luerkens.homepage.t-online.de/peter/
I have cumulusx 1.8 installed but don't use it often.
If we flew together & both had this utility, our thermals would be in sync!
Mike.
(PS, I searched, but could find no way to increase the size/number of birds indicating thermals.)

And E-rc68,
Don't be in a rush to grow up!
I didn't have the free time to play until I was to old to enjoy it!
("Playing" in a band, while enjoyable, was nonetheless hard work!)
Mike.

Anytime JT.

Well I did the maiden flight on my F-14 Tomcat and it flies!!!!

I need a stronger servo to swing the wings though. I will do a little corrective surgery later and put a power servo in it. But at least it flies.
