Hey Nighthawk,

I don't think that was pilot error. Here is an excerpt.

Both air crew from a U.S. Navy F-14A have been safely recovered following a crash in the Pacific Ocean 800 miles west of Guam on 20 September 1995. The aircraft nearly broke the sound barrier, then explodes because of what was apparently an engine compressor failure. The two aviators were safely recovered by a USS John Paul Jones' (DDG 53) small boat shortly after their aircraft crashed in the water approximately 56 miles from the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72).

Messin' around and found FS9. No comparison to FSX,yet. This is the 172 in FS9. I think later may try some of the planes that don't work in X, like my invisible B-25's.

I had read in the coments that just before the aircraft exploded, the pilot had made too sharp of a turn while the aircraft was very close to the Speed of sound causing the shockwave to enter the engine causing a compresser stall.

JT,

I had to go over the the in-laws house tonight. It was late getting back so I'll have to SIM tomorrow night.

That video is loaded, throw in a heli and it would have everything. Pretty Cool.

Roger

Sim Pilots,
Loaded up FS2004 to see if the planes that don't work in FSX or have no panels. Here are a few that work and look pretty good.

JT,

I have been reading about multiplayer on FS2004 and it sounds like a lot of work. Don't abandon us FSX people to go backwards to 2004. I looked at this site.
