Tamiya.,
I don't think the two versions will work together, although some of the older planes do. I'll install mine later and see.

JT,

That's a fine looking Phantom....don't go ruin it by putting camo on it.

Hey now! The airforce was do all the work in Vietnam, blowing up all the SAMs an AAAs. They also took down the Migs so the navy could blow up the brigdes, the camo kept them safe while they were in the real action.

Of course, "Duke" Cunningham was the ONLY PILOT Ace of the Vietnam War. He of course was NAVY. The Air force only had WSO Aces, no pilots. Navy just shoots better. Don't even think about letting an Air Farce pilot try to land on a Carrier.

We can get a whole forum group started about Navy verses Air Force. Won;t that be fun........

Roger, better recheck your records:

The only U.S. Air Force pilot ace of the Vietnam War, Capt. Steve Ritchie destroyed five MiG 21s during Operation Linebacker in 1972

Cunningham and Ritchie were the only USA pilot aces of the Vietnam conflict. The other three were WSOs.

( I'll admit Cunningham was the first)

Capt. Charles B. "Chuck" DeBellevue United States United States Air Force 6
LT Randall "Duke" Cunningham United StatesUnited States Navy2 5
LTJG William P. Driscoll United StatesUnited States Navy 5
Capt. Steve Ritchie United States United States Air Force2 5
Capt. Jeff Feinstein United States United States Air Force 5

I love watching the wake in the water underneath the Tomcat. The first time I ever saw that (back in 79') I was blown away by the power and the blast of the shock wave.

F-14 Carrier FlyBy - YEAH!!!! (0 min 7 sec)

Thats just ridictulus. Who runs two carriers into each other. By the way, all joking and ripping on Navy and Airforce pilots aside, they all deserve credit. By the way if you want a great book about the event with lots of action and mystery while being realistic at the same time. Rules of Engagment writen by Joe Weber here,
http://www.joewebernovels.com/bookshelf.htm
All of his books are great but Rules of Engagment and Targets of Opportunity are my favorites. You Navy guys will realy like those, even though your hiding on that ship...
