Align t-rex 600 flybarless, electric or nitro?

Hi,

Im really getting into the idea of a t-rex 600. and with all the hype around
flybarless I whould like to give it a go. but what setup?

Electric or with nitro? I've never had a nitro heli before and like the fact that electric does not have that much mechanical things that can go wrong.

but I've heard that flying flybarless requires a higher headspead?
will the kit engine from align deliver enough juice for me to place the 3g setup on it?

Any thoughts or experience on the mather out there?

I've been running flybarless on my 600ESP for a few months and there is a natural increase in headspeed only because there is less drag without the flybar and associated parts. The power system is more than capable of flying 3D on 6 cells, even more so with 8 or more cells. As far as what power plant to get, it all boils down to whether or not you like dealing with glow fuel or waiting for batteries to charge.

guess I'll go for the electric type. to bad the price for those batteries are steep. :S 200$.
know of any good batteries that can withstand the pwr needed but at a lower cost?

I know the align batteries are damn good.. I personally prefer Flight power bats. any thoughts?

I've been using XPS batteries for mine. They're rated at 30C and cost 150 bucks. If you don't mind the long wait, Hobby King (in China) has their 30C batteries for 75 bucks or so. I'm not sure what the currency exchange is in Norway, but these two options are less expensive than Flight Power, Thunder Power and all the rest.

The XPS batteries I have outperform the 300 dollar ones that I've used prior. They also have a 40C version that's a few dollars more.

Not a bad deal. The only bad thing about Hobby King is they have such a large demand, that their stuff is almost always out of stock.

I concur with Engage, HK is always out of stock. Best to put yourself on their
"New Stock Alert" and they will e-mail you. But you have to check it everyday, because they do go fast. I've seen new stock go in 8 hours and less.
