Big Screamer/Dynamax with A/S Nacelle Moulded to a Hot Spot

I`ve had one of Rodger`s awesome Dynamax nacelles for a while now and finally decided what to do with it. Here are some pics of what I`ve done today. It will be fully moulded in and seamless when I`m done, except for the access hatch of course. Should be in the 350 to 400 w/lb range when it`s RTF.

I had a hot spot a few years back
wish I would have kept it, that looks really slick

do you think there will be any problem with rotating on take off and landing and hitting the nacelle?

love that way that looks.. the hot spot is one of the coolest looking jets
mine was new in the box, the wings were really heavy without any glass on them.. I wonder what weight you will hit
If I still had mine I'd monokote the wings and save some weight

you always come up with cool stuff

I`ve been thinking about this for a while. Decided to get a start on it. I needed a break from the big twin anyway, so I played with this. It should make a nice plane eventually.

I didn`t check rotation clearance, hopefully it will be ok.

Rodger`s nacelle is so nice, I didn`t want to bolt brackets on it, and the lower the better on the thrust line.

You got me thinking about clearance, so I took another look at it. There`s plenty of room to lengthen the mains if I need to. Then the wheels could go on the outside of the struts and be housed in the "raised" center section of the lower fuselage. That would give the mains a little wider stance too. It would end up with main gear kind of like a Spark.

That´s awesome man! Too cool...

Have also this idea, because Hot Spot is fast almost the Wild Hornet could be a little bit faster...

Nice Job on the nacelle.

Making a new nose and just having fun

Got a new nose in semi rough state on my Hot Spot yesterday. I bought the main body without a nose for $50. I don`t really like the stock Hot Spot nose anyway.

No prob Max, just drop the car by the house one evening with some sketches, and I`ll get it back to ya in a day or two.
