Great flying Daniel! What happened to your hand? Any video of your winning flights with the 110 Yak?

Another great video Herc! Looks like you are really getting comfortable with the Extra.

Prestigeauto, I think either of the set-ups shown in these videos would be ideal. I know Chris really likes the AXI set-up he is using.

Cory
My video was shot exclusively on 7S with the new PowerEdge batteries from RC Accessory. These batteries hold their voltage so well that they almost feel like the 8S setup. So far the PowerEdge batteries, the AXI motor and an 18/8 Xoar are probably my favorite setup.

Okay, I've been absent from RC Groups for awhile. Another awesome video Herc. Great job on the thread, too! I spent the last 15 minutes catching up. Great to see Flop here. It's been fun watching Chris fly this bird for the last month or two. Only problem is he hasn't offered the sticks up, yet. Nice flying, thanks for the continuing advice Herc, and sweet vid!

Tim

@Daniel, What is the flying time on 6S?
Bert from Aerobertics will build a 6S AXI powered Extra soon.
I'll try to make a video with it!

Sweet Herc. Man those KE loops look gooooddd.. oooh...

Nice touch making the intro graphics match the colors and typeface of the model.

Also, I think that flying field is the most beautiful east of Washington State.

Great Flying Chris! Did you feel great amount of performance gain with SFG's?

Thanks guys!
This plane is ROCK solid without the SFGs but with them it is RRROOOOCCKK solid! On this plane I definitely like the SFGs 100%. On the 48" Edge for me it's a toss up but with this plane definitely.

I experienced already a big difference on the 48" extra with the SFGs. So I guess it's the same (probably even better) with the 70". I really like the effects of the SFGs, most planes fly alot better with them. I also like the looks of the plane with SFGs installed but that's of course personal.

Over the last 5 years whe all saw planes getting better and better and now most of them are flying very good 3D.
I like how EF is one of the only brands that is working very hard to get 3D to a new level. The exp series are a perfect example of this.
They are increasing the throws even more and start to build with serveral different new technics... they add SFGs to the kits etc.
These changes make the EXP series planes where alot of us dreamed about for a long long time!

I'm sure we will see this happen to the big scale models very soon to... The engines are getting more powerfull for the same weight (DA 170, DA 120) we are getting servos that can handle extreme throws on extreme surfaces (hitec 7950). So it's time to start testing some new things! This winter I'll work on a special project for the 125" extra you'll read more about that on FG soon! ;-)

I agree with everything you said Jens! And my favorite part about all the Extreme Flight planes is that they fly IMAC/Precision so well. Making a plane 3D is one thing, but making a good 3D AND Precision airplane is another!
Looking forward to seeing what you do with the 125!

Indeed, they do. But in the future I think it will be impossible to use the same plane (maybe same fuse) for pattern and really extreme freestyle.
You'll see in a few months on FG ;-)

I've got to agree with both Jens and Daniel that this EXP series really does take the envelope of aerobatic flying to another level. One of the reasons I have always been attracted to EF planes is that they were designed to meet the highest end of the aerobatic spectrum. But with the newest series and the direction that we are headed I am truly excited with what the next generation of EF planes will bring to this hobby!
