I don't have any trouble and besides the 4325 310 is more than enough power. I just don't see the need for that much power or weight IMO. You could always go back and have no regrets.

Flew my first packs with a parallel () connector I made. I am giving up on the more expensive 6s5000mAh in favor of two packs in series from my 60"MXS 6s3300mAh. (6s6600mAh).

Getting an extra minute of flight and batteries are coming down at 3.8/ cell. With batts all the way back, I have a slight trim change in CG, but still fantastic all around and I like the longer flights; I can probably add another 0:30 to my timer.

...also broke 2 props- I need to finally put my LG on the right direction to prevent nose overs. Pics coming

Don't you mean series instead of parallel?

I think he means parallel.
If he went from 6s3300 to 6s6600 thats parallel.

Series would be 12s3300.

Was a bit confused myself, and PM'd but may have confused him even. LOL
I was trying to figure out if he's using 4 total packs or two.
So 12s at 3300 by using two 6s 3300's in series, or 12s 6600 by using two such 'series' setups in paralllel...or just 6s at 6600 (if just two packs in parallel)

I just assumed as he was coming from a 6s5000 setup that he was staying with 6s but gaining mAH. Hence parallel.

Don't worry once you start looking at 8s, 10s, 12s setups it all becomes crystal.

To clarify, this is what I meant:

6s3300mAh + 6s3300mAh = 6s6600mAh

What throws are people using on the ailerons or has everybody gone for "as much as they can get"?

I have 12 kg of torque available in the servos apparently

Initially on my 3dhs edge I went for "as much as I can get" but brought it in a peg or 2 to regain some much needed resolution. .. as it happens it now rolls a lot faster so the torque was really needed.

I initially set up 45 deg on my extra but yesterday I dialed it back to 40deg and it actually rolled faster and smoother.
Don't know it was blow back but more likely the ailerons might be acting as an air brake or something f you go too high.

I'm running the swb1.5" arms on hs7985 servos at 6.5V.

no issues at all with torque in hover at 40degree.

Like you I always set ailerons as much as I can get but recently on a couple of 60" planes found I was getting reduced roll rate so moved the servo arm in to reduce throw and the roll increased.

The 70" extra hovers very sweetly, the ailerons seem plenty effective to control the torque roll even on 40degree of throw.

Great news. I have ordered a protractor as I have just been guessing the movements. I think I will aim for around 40 degrees.

I'm very interested in the increased centering and resolution as my servos aren't the best.

In addition to other advice, sealing hinges can, surprisingly, also increase roll rate.
