That is my intended setup too. I think you'll get there before me as I'm still financing a 35% electric project. But my estimates are somewhere between 6490 and 6580 RPMs on a 20x10 Xoar for 2150 to 2300W at 98 to 100A. These numbers work great for me, and the way I fly, I can probably get 7 to 8 minutes using 70% of a 6S 5000mAh Sky Lipo even though 6.5 minutes is where my brain timer goes off anyway.

I have tried the 20x10 Xoar, but I like the APC better for some reason. When I set it up I'll probably try both again. I know I get more amps with the APC.

I run 6S Gens Ace 5300 30C.

Let me know how it works out. I think the thrust will be pretty close so if I can keep the Amps down a bit, no matter which prop, I'd prefer to do that and I'm still waiting to decide on an ESC... probably the CC Ice2 HV120, it looks like.

Awesome power with an 18x8. The DLE30 pulls like a beast. I have @ 30 flights on it and it's my favorite plane. Been flying for 30+ years.

Great economical power plant. - WSHall

By the way - Dukeofearl has the best info I've seen on this plane. Hit him up for pointers if you have any questions. WSHall

Does anyone know the standoff length for the Hacker A60-6XS. I have a feeling I have to use threaded rod to get a bolt long enough or drill out the holes in the back plate to accept M5 hardware.

Basically had a deadstick with my MLD 28 and hit a barbed wire fence. The result is as follows:

I had the bright idea to take my old 71" Slick wings and modify to make them fit. Had to do some minor work but I think it will work. The crash ended up cracking the prop hub which messes with the ignition timing so replacement parts are on the way. I'll definitely put it on video, I have a feeling it's going to be very interesting.

No dead stick with electrics!

Sorry about your loss!

Oz,
Yea, I posted a link to some servo extensions that were listed on here for sale and someone reported me. Got barred from the forms until I removed the post. I was actually thinking of the guys on here that were building and needed them. No harm was meant by me posting the link but I think it's a bunch of bull****!! It was a RCGroups classifieds ad. It was directed to the person who reported me. It's okay though because that's the reason I created a fb Q&A page. Besides, I'm getting extremely tired of the bureaucracy in these forums.
