Manta, how does the DM5320-300 balance out compared to the DM4325-280 on the 8S setup in the 70? Seems the bigger 300Kv motor may do 300W more on the same 8S and the same 20x8, and handle it a little better too since it's beefier.

Just wanted to put a few pictures in here...

Basically had a deadstick with my MLD 28 and hit a barbed wire fence. The result is as follows:

I had the bright idea to take my old 71" Slick wings and modify to make them fit. Had to do some minor work but I think it will work. The crash ended up cracking the prop hub which messes with the ignition timing so replacement parts are on the way. I'll definitely put it on video, I have a feeling it's going to be very interesting.

Too bad you didn't have the red Slick or the Orange EXP.

Good question.I've not run a 5320 in anything. One of the few motrolflys i have not ran lol.. Losifinatic runs one in his 71 slick and loves it. Maybe rudder goes to the tail to help balance it that way but i forget for sure.

Why don't you just fix the wing? It seems all the parts are there to do it.

I have a A60-5S I'll sell you. I just have not gotten around to putting it up for sale yet. I did not find a prop combo I liked on it. I got a Mejzlik 20x11WE that Aeromodel said would be a good fit, but I decided to sell the plane before I got around to trying it.

When the Orange comes back in stock I think I'll use my A60-6XS on this plane that I had in my 71 slick. APC 20x10 seems a good combo with that motor.

Somehow I missed this post...

You're saying that Kyle or Mike suggested the Mejzlik 20x11WE on the A60-5S V2.... on 6 or 8S?

Just ran some numbers.... has to be on 8S, but the results I came out with show this combo to be a monster on this plane. If it can turn that prop anywhere near 6600 RPM's it's going to produce over 2500 Watts on 86A and 29.6 volts. considering the numbers on the two Hackers I have running on Sky Lipos, I think that's being conservative. Even at 6400, that's 2400W and 81A.

This prop was suggested to me at Toledo from the Aero Model booth. I did not get the name of the guy who suggested this. He sold me a A60-6XS at the same time.

Yes, on 8s. That is what this motor is built for. I got 6x Gens Ace 5300 30c 4S batts to run in this combo.

Right when I got his prop, I made a deal that got rid of the airframe this was on (a EF 78" Extra), and the plane was converted to gas. I flew it on my A60-6XS which it does turn, but it hits the battery hard and I did not need the insane performance. I backed off to a APC 20x10. It was super quiet though.

At this point I have sold the ESC and have decided gas is better for me personally in the size so I can sell the motor, prop, and batts if anyone is interested.

The A60-6XS is going into a Extra EXP as soon as the Orange comes back in stock.
