Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all the contributors (and lurkers) to this thread. Especially the ZA crazies and Johann, who started this thread, and Steve, who designed this fun plane.

It's been 6+ months of new build skills and making new friends!

Sally likes the cold!

Fired up Sally today! Flew the Alula for about a 1/2 hour, then Sally. I flew for about 20 minutes, then landed and added a penny to the nose. Big difference and I think she's pretty well dialed in now, as far as the CG goes. Flew for about another half hour. together with an Osprey and a couple of hawks. NICE way to spend a Saturday afternoon in January!!

Temp: 15 degrees F (-9C)
Wind: NW 10-16 knots
Fun level: High!

Well done Jim!

The Flying Beagle had his day!
The bumble bee flew great considering the wind was 60km/h+
As Daron says...
"It's like flying a paper plate in a gale!"

I'll ask Brad for some pics as I never took any!

Oh...
Sorry I took your Crossover out....

now playing: "Barb Wire"

with my recent "activity" on the Slipper, I thought I better protect my Sally, or protect myself from myself

Nothing wrong with your latest "slope activity"!
She's looking good FB!

I think those servo covers will work well!
Last of an era....

Never mind, the next project is cooking!

Johann...
Your question was on the PE thread, I thought I'd answer on the Sally thread

My "stock Sally" ended up being 270 gm.

Zally looks great, Jim. Hope the barbed wire helps keep the rascals away!

I don't know how you guys got to those weights!

It has to be our fuz... a bit tail heavy!

I must say, that the 900mm Zally wing likes to be loaded up and even at 550g (our heaviest one) flew like a rocket..
Anyway.. Back to FB..

"Barbie" had her day out!
400g plane in 60km/h wind!

FB has taken to slope soaring like Barbie is to Bay Watch!

Well done and thanks to Brad for the pics!
