Hello all,

Finished my first build - stock Scarab Carbon Armor, everything seemed to be ok during setup and configuration. However, running with props on with the Scarab in my hand it does not feel balanced. There is resistance to motion from three of the motors but when you try to rotate it against the final motor there is little/no resistance. The behavior is confirmed with the unit on the floor...at min throttle it wants to tip towards one motor. I'm thinking it may be an esc issue but I'm not really sure where to go from here. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Andrew

Add a MPU-6050 or MPU-9150 and it will sell millions.

Yes i am sure..
But it was not a Multiwii oriented board at the begining. Still quite easy to put a MPU board attached..

Hello,

I'm flying a Tri with camera gimbal. Board it's a CRIUS SE with arduino pro mini 328. It's working great but servos move from my center position on power up (During the 4 seconds that takes to initializated the board).

Once board it's initializated, not problem an the servos goes to the 1450us center that I have programed.

Anyone knows the part of the code that I must change, so that in power up initial positions for servos is 1450 and not 1500 as default.

Another option for me would be to not send pulses to the servos on power up

Thanks in advance

#define SERVO_TILT
#define TILT_PITCH_MIN 1100 //servo travel min, don't set it below 1020
#define TILT_PITCH_MAX 1900 //servo travel max, max value=2000
#define TILT_PITCH_MIDDLE 1450 //servo neutral value
#define TILT_PITCH_PROP 22 //servo proportional (tied to angle) ; can be negative to invert movement
#define TILT_ROLL_MIN 1100
#define TILT_ROLL_MAX 1900
#define TILT_ROLL_MIDDLE 1450
#define TILT_ROLL_PROP -22

Scarab Stealth Carbon Armour // Aggressive Flying. The Paris is super stable and in full control all the time... Using the 2.1 MultiWii code with stock PIDs and increased RC Rates to 0.50 will turn the Carbon Armour into a Quad-Monster! The Paris board handles all the abuse without issues.

Love the ability to go from stable to insane with a bump of the sticks. ;-)

Ive looked around in the code, and I suspect my best bet is butchering the camera trigger function.

Would replacing
Code:
  #if defined(CAMTRIG)
    static uint8_t camCycle = 0;
    static uint8_t camState = 0;
    static uint32_t camTime = 0;
    if (camCycle==1) {
      if (camState == 0) {
        servo[2] = CAM_SERVO_HIGH;
        camState = 1;
        camTime = millis();
      } else if (camState == 1) {
       if ( (millis() - camTime) > CAM_TIME_HIGH ) {
         servo[2] = CAM_SERVO_LOW;
         camState = 2;
         camTime = millis();
       }
      } else { //camState ==2
       if ( (millis() - camTime) > CAM_TIME_LOW ) {
         camState = 0;
         camCycle = 0;
       }
      }
    }
    if (rcOptions[BOXCAMTRIG]) camCycle=1;
  #endif
in Output with this
Code:
  #if defined(CAMTRIG)
    if (rcOptions[BOXCAMTRIG]) servo[2] = CAM_SERVO_HIGH;
	else servo[2] = CAM_SERVO_LOW;
  #endif
turn A2 into a servo driver that toggles between high and low if I activate/deactivate camtrig with an aux channel?
Anyone?

Hey guys if anyone is interested in setting up a Bluetooth dongle on their MultiWii then look no further as I think I have figured it out.
Connecting to MultiWii Flight Controller with a Crius Bluetooth Adapter (9 min 35 sec)

HI All
I have not been playing multiwii for a while now. My old tricopter is still flying on 1.7. I just brought my new FC from HK
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...DSM2_Port.html
And have downloaded the new 2.1 firmware. I tested the board when I got it and got it doing allthe right things on the new GUI but the board was quad + and I wanted quad x so I flashed it.
All good so far
The GUI is showing that the board is now quad x but I can not get any movment from the graphs like I did before.

I have tried several times and know it has to be something I have overlooked as it was working pre flash and seems to be flashed correct as it is now showing the correct mode...
Any thoughts
?
Rob

Did you choose the correct defines for the sensors?
Sounds like a problem with the addresses of the sensors.

HobbyKing hardware = cheap
HobbyKing support = not existing

Only thing they do is link on multiwii.com and leave the customers allone...

I don't really see the point. The Pro Mini is already very small and lightweight. Unless you want to build micro thing like a nanocopter, it's pointless.

It's not poinless, trying new things is the base of development.

Yes i do like to make very small copter.

Plus it's not expensive and could be nice for experimentations.

Oh... And usb port
