How should be the sensor axis directions

TILT the MULTI to the RIGHT (left side up):
  • MAG_ROLL, ACC_ROLL and GYRO_ROLL goes up
  • MAG_Z and ACC_Z goes down
TILT the MULTI forward (tail up):
  • MAG_PITCH, ACC_PITCH and GYRO_PITCH goes up
  • MAG_Z and ACC_Z goes down
Rotating the copter clockwise (YAW):
  • GYRO_YAW goes up
The copter stays level:
  • MAG_Z is positive ; ACC_Z is positive

Could someone please explain multiwii OSDs to me? I understand that they output info like other osds, but what is the multiwii part? Do they connect to your main flight control board running multiwii to get their information? Or do they run some sort of multiwii?

Thanks, Zane

how do i enable mag and baro with a dx6i? the acc (selfleveling is set for the gyro switch). i can enable them through the gui.
Is it actually mounted upside-down? Or just underneath? Even if pointed forward, left=right and vise versa when wrong way is up And pitch forward would be inverted on the same axis

Regarding the DX6, you can assign the 6th channel to enable mag&baro. On my DX7, my Gyro is ARM/DISARM, 3 positionswitch is ACC/ACC+MAG/ACC+MAG+BAR.

Hope this helps!

it is rock solid in acro mode.
in stable mode the pids come into play and.. well... nothing changes with moving the pids way up or down.. maybe i'll go back to a lower MWII version..

thanks for the link, i'll be reading that!
How does it fly with regular PID's? You should first tune your PID's on ACRO and only when that's perfect start tuning the LEVEL PID. Please be advised, LEVEL PID is linked to other PID's, so please tune ACRO first

I'm using cheap hobbyking donkey's 960kv. Heavy (The whole copter is 8 lbs) but they get it hovering at half throttle.

Hello,

I have two problems with my multiwii

1) When I land too hard or I crash, one motor starts to spin. I can not stop with my tx. I need to unplug the battery

2) I feel that the quad react too slow to my input. Is it the PID setting?

in acro it's rock solid..

with stock pids it does the same as maxed out pids.. slightly less on slow wobble during flight, slightly more fast wobbles if the frame is touched by hand or wind.

board is mounted on gyro foam. (thin)

it is mounted underneath the board. x axis is pointed in the same direction as if it was mounted on top but the y (and z?) is backwards. i think i got it working correctly by comparing the stuff capt wrote above. i had to reverse y and z i believe. i had to reverse the x axis on the ACC also which seemed odd.

how do i check the boxes to make it stunt mode for pos 1 and ACC+MAG+BAR for pos 2?

Very cool, what are you using to drive the brushed motors on the circuit board?

Can anyone walk me through headfree. Im using the latest dev.
I have the gear switch turning on BARO, MAG, ACC and HEADFREE at the same time

I take off with the switch on and its pretty stable but when I push the stick forward the quad just moves forward and not away from me. All controls just work as normal like headfree is not enabled.

Are they any tricks or anything I need to enable before I flash ?
