So IIUC 1300kv motor, 9g servos, and 2s 1000mah is the best setup for this design? How about prop? BTW, I am looking for a small park flyer.

mine flies great with a 1000 2c...but I also just built an overpowered version running a 1500 3c...it does not feature a slow fly prop so it will be interesting to try. I'm about to head out and try it right now...it's a composite version made with two pieces of foam board and some epp up front, no carbon...I'm uploading a video of my normal one now, I've had it out three times and it just keeps going, I'm a complete noob too, so that says something about this plane...

Nice flying Squish, flys as good fast as it does slow.
Liked the Jazz music for a change also.

Wow, what a design this plane is. Got the right name too, Cheap & easy.

Very interesting camera work.

I would like to learn more about your tow behind camera setup. It's amazing how well it tracks behind the plane. Even following some pretty agressive flying.

Ditto...

I am with Don. Rich, you gotta go into more detail on the tow behind camera work. That is a really nice video. You could show that as a chase scene like in combat.

Very cool man.

Cheapy chinese key fob camera+fish line+foam triangle=?

BTW, is it possible to build this as a replica of the SuperFly? I was really impressed with the handling and durability of that plane!

Juat a flat triangle? No up turned tips or vertical stabilizer? Please give us dimensions and details of the CG, and line attachment point.

Hey guys, built one this weekend. Thanks again rich for the initial design. mine came out at 7 oz AUW. Here's a video of the maiden

Cheap-n-Easy - Scratch Build RC plane (0 min 59 sec)

I made it using the drawing from the sketchup file, but I did the rudder a little differently. I rotated it so the diagonal cut is the bottom of the vertical stab instead of the leading edge of it. That way you don't have to piece it together. I also added some pink foam to the front to hold the battery, and to reinforce it in case of hard landings.

Flew really well, and super maneuverable. I dialed down the throws for the rudder and elevator to 25% in the video. I've since put it back to 50%.
