it snapped cause i pulled too much up. the model really isnt twitchy at all. very smooth flying. but yes, a little breeze on landing really helps.

CN,
How much damage was caused by the cartwheel? I'm trying to design a wing that will tear away from the fuse in a similar situation and not cause much overall damage. The Micro Stinger wing is held on by some tape thats strong enough for high flight loads but will quickly shear in a cartwheel situation. That has saved a bunch of repairs over the years.

yeah, i remebered you taping wings on before. probably wouldnt be too much of a problem....just would be a little scared of inverted flight!

is just cosmetic damage, chipped paint, and a couple small cracks. i will say that i think the canopy frame area could use a small carbon rod just under each ridge. and maybe one along the bottom of the fuse (on the inside of course)

The area is definitely a weak spot and will be beefed up on future airframes. I was trying to get you and NC the lightest fuses possible so strength was secondary.

I don't know about you but those nice 8 blade AEO 40mm fans with 2mm adapters have me excited. Lots of good 20mm motors are out there with 2mm shafts.

Another project, yeah!

I don't want you to jump the gun, but how are you going to approach the pitot tube? Retractable, flexible, fixed with a magnet? It just begs to snap off!
