Amazing shots Jon! Oh man did those turn out nice. Was that your first time to the basin?
Now that you have seen Brent's fly I am curious Jon to get your overall impression of the Electrolyte. You are exposed to so many models in general that I'd really appreciate any thoughts you might have. Its a never ending refinement the way I see it...

nc,
Your little gremlins crack me up!

Bret ... I was down here for Western States Electric year before last. It is a great place to fly, EXCEPT there is a LOT of noise pollution IMO.

I think I managed to score some decent video of everything Brent flew today, including the Electrolyte. It will be a day or two or three until I get home and can wade through it and put something together though.

Bret, if you would prefer I not clutter the Electrolyte thread with these photos of some of the other plane Brent flew today, just say the word and I will pull them down (in a day or two! ) or you can just delete this post. I got boatloads of good photos of his sweet CMP P-51 and RCL Cougar.

Didn't work out today for NC, hence something "new" is needed
I wonder if you've got a lot more elevator authority with a stab, so can deal with a more nose-heavy jet?

Looks like a great day of flying. the Cougar pic with its shadow on the runway is an especially cool photo. Brent, its time to get that glamorous glen III decal for the fuse.

or the wing/stab incidence is bad. or his sweep angle is more than mine.

Makes me think of how the sound of those glow prop jobs in the background just ruin EDF videos.

Apparently you guys are using the same cores for the wing.

I do like full moving stabs for your reason though - never worry about incidence!!

All incidences are neutral. I was just plain ol' nose heavy.

Repairs are done. Just letting the filler dry now to hide all the crack lines.

NC,
Not exactly sure of the nose heavy problem but when in doubt I would have done the same thing and been conservative with a forward cg. CN did reduce the sweep of his cores. So the stock cores will have a cg slightly aft of CN's location. Wishing you good thoughts on your second launch.

Is it just me or could some of those inflight pics be easily confused for a much larger bvm model? The static shots of the Electrolyte in Brent's hand really give an impressive scale factor that are not appreciated in some the inflight shots. SWEET!!!

I am anxious to edit down some video for you Bret but I fear the audio will be all but trashed due to the slimers down there.

I knew the Electrolyte was small but I was still a little surprised to actually see it and hold it. But it flies pretty amazingly! Hats off to you (again) Bret!
