For a first time Micro EDF builder the most straight forward high power setup at this time, that is easy to assemble, is to use the 40mm GWS shroud in combination with the 40mm AeoRC 8-blade rotor (and 2mm shaft adapter). That fan unit combined with a neu 705 2y (get the 2mm shaft version) will draw 300 watts and give you 100mph+ out of sight performance. The only mod (which is really easy) is to sand down the perimeter of the bell lip of the GWS shroud for clean ducting.

The custom shrouds I know of in the 40mm class don't fit that rotor without modification. If a custom shroud designed for the AeoRC rotor becomes available I will definitely let you know.

What kinda servos and other electronics are we looking at? I am assuming they are all sub micro's?

The laser cut parts are setup for Dymond 4.7g servos.

Well i was able to track that fast Phazer but it was a bit bigger lol, if 300 isnt fast enough ill go to 500 , im sure I could handle it

That is a nice motor Kyle. At 4700kv you'll likely need 4s. For 3s we are in the 7-9k kv range.

A 4s 1000 will fit but the CG might an issue with a light motor in the rear and a 4s pack in front. CN was able to make 4s work so its definitely possible. On 4s your looking at a nice sport setup.

that was the very first setup i tried, was really hard to get it running smoothly, i was using the stock sky angel 50mm motor as well, and stators cut down to fit in a 40 shroud. does about 200W on 4s 750, and i think that kv is like 4300. so 4800kv should do you about 250-275W on 750-1000 4s. if you want to run a 4s 1000, youll need to move the fan back about 1" from where the stock ducts end. i made a simple extension with mylar and tape



Jack, i prefer the look of the straight tail on mine, i havnt tried a rudder yet so i cant comment on its knife edge qualities
