I saw the price and ordered 4, if the tests go well, Ill def order more!
They are said to be Sony 1/3" CCD cameras. Battery JST plug installed, Ill cut the other connector off and wire it to the video transmitter, for 17 bucks... you cant go wrong!

What Sony chip is on the board? Is it a CXD3142R by any chance?


Edit, nevermind, I looked at the specs closer, they list that chip on HK's page... I was asking because it's the same chip used on the $25 ($18 before shipping) cameras from eBay that work so well!

Yep thats the one! Tested them all, really good color, only one has a wayward pixel.

had a similar cams with exposed electronics, after a few flights, some crashes, suddenly stops working, closer look a diode/resistors are missing..maybe due to vibration, i was wondering about hot glueing the entire board.

hk are sold out of those cam only.. so i ordered the 900mhz kit..only camera available heck with the tx and rx is a good buy..

I ordered mine a week or so ago and hobbyking have offered me a refund as they dont know when they will be back in stock

Oh I will, a video from one of these cams speaks louder than anything I could say! Good or bad! LOL

I have some on the way as well, but they haven't arrived yet. Like you said, for $17 you can't go wrong.

Okay, trusty Supercub testbed gets the honors, again! Poor plane has had so many things tacked on and stripped off....
Mounted the camera under the wing on the right side looking forward and down slightly.
Test flights will commence soon..

can't wait. I want to see hot it handles sunlight!!!

Not sure on the hot glue, you might be able to hot glue parts to keep them from coming loose. Sorry for the delay, the 2.4ghz video transmitter I was going to use no longer works, switched to a brand new 900 mhz transmitter I was keeping as a spare, works fine, will test fly the cub with the HK camera on Saturday, will post video then!
