This one's for you Lance! Some canopy to the canopy frame action.

This is my first attempt using canopy glue. It was a little bit of work (lack of experience) but once I got to know the glue it worked out pretty good. I found that what I was trying to avoid in the first place (glue seeping to the finished surface) actually produced the best results once I wiped it away with a damp cloth. I started thinking of it sort of like caulking.

Ok, enough chit chat. It's time to get going to the flying field for some taxi tests! Woohoo!

Here are some of the taxi tests/brake tests. Overall things went very well. It tracks much straighter than last time, even though I will still need to adjust the nose wheel a little to the left. For these tests I just adjusted the trim on the rudder.

To test the brakes I would run the plane about 1/4 power for short bursts then hit full brake. Seems to stop pretty good. It was very tempting to just gun it and fly away!

Are you going to install your bottom vertical fins? I am not sure exactly what they are called.

Looking good. I just realized when I first started following this thread...

1) I was married
2) I lived in a different province
3) I was years younger

and so much more.

In fact I remember a time with my ex wife when I started watching your vids and she asked me if I was watching pron because of the beginning music. I had to sit her down and show here what was really on the video.

And a week ago (years later) my new girl asked me the same thing!!! Oh how time flies.

I will absolutely be installing the ventral fins.

Don't worry, everyone will get to see the maiden. I plan on having many people filming from different vantage points when I do fly it. Since I'll be too busy to "watch" the flight I want to be able to see it later. Even if things don't go just right (

) there'll be plenty of "black box" data to analyze.

P.S. How time flies!

I was wondering why I became so aroused when I watched your videos.

Guys, please don't ask him about any other details. It will just give him more reasons to put off the maiden. I want to see this thing fly before I die.

Yesterday we contemplated wrapping him up with that tape, propping him up in a chair and making him watch one of us fly it. But his wife was there so we didn't.
