thanks for the info.
i found a exceed monster power .10 for 20.00 bucks on hobbyparts,
there is a 970kv and a 1100kv.
what do you think would be better?.......

the motor that i got on my 400 was a g&c, but the kv on my motor is only 800kv.
i heard that there is 2 diff. motors that come with this bird, 1 is 800kv, and 1 is 900kv

If both motors put out the same watts, then go with the 1100Kv as that will allow for a smaller prop....so less prop strikes when you land or are in the grass.

what would be a good 2 blade prop to use on the 400's stock motor, or on a diff. motor with a little more kv?.....

Cessna 400 motor bracket

Hi,

I've just received my Cessna400 - hopefully you can see from the attached image that the motor motor isn't square to the fueselage. Commonsense tells me this is wrong - has anyone else had this issue?

Is the best solution to shim the motor bracket or bend the 2 mounting wings?

thanks
Paul

Thanks for that - I guess this falls into the "you learn something new every day" category.

this will keep the plane from fliping over on takeoff and to keep the body of the plane from spining due to the power of the motor, this is called "TORQUE ROLL".
you will see this as you get more into the hobby.

if you need help with this bird, this is the place to come.
good luck with your 400.

ps.
this plane flys tail heavy, you need to move your lipo up by where the wing joins the body. it will fly better.

Nice to see this thread here. It's also been interesting to see some of the challenges people have been having.

I've become very interested in a similar (same? different?) model - the ST Model Cessna 350 (discussion, purchase info, unpacking video).

So my question is - do you think this is the same plane (just rebadged) as your Cessna 400?

It is definately not the same plane. Your kit looks a bit nicer.

Thanks for the quick feedback! (I don't own the plane yet, I've just been researching it and found the video I attached).

yeah definitly a nicer/better quality plane. I really love the looks of these birds, and when i crash my c400 i know what plane i'll get to replace it... the c350. That plane looks more scale and seems to be of better build quality as well, but the price seems to include the upgrades. Thanks for the link to the info on 350. don't get me wrong i still think the c400 is a great plane for the price... after some mods!

hey guys here's a quick vid of the new mods i've made since my last video. New landing gear, different hook up on the servo for rudder and nose gear, and a drop module. let me know what you think.
