I get most of my bearings from here:

- Cheap as you'll find anywhere, and usually quick shipping.

:-)

I got my FPV fix at last. And relax.

Need to do some serious work:
Raven to build
Stealthwing to collect an build(Owen?)
Ground Station to 'finish'
Quad to tidy up and fit new FC

Busy few evenings ahead...

It was great weather today, there was no wind and a lot of lift.

Same here no wind but I didn't find the lift...fond Franks Skywalker and managed to chase him after he told me many times "I'm on the corner " and me saying "what corner?"
Like Wayne said.... shame we could not record the conversation...

Nice! I was going to ask if anyone had any film of steam locos from the air. Where did you catch Tangmere?
Heres a picture of me, the old slap head, driving a friends 'King' with 14 mk1 coaches on.
Despite the evidence it is live steam just good driving/firing by me.

Great pic. Great model too. Bet you can't stick that thing back together with some cyano and a bit tape after a crash

What fantastic workmanship. Must be many many hours gone into that, years even.

The railway line goes past the end of my garden in Newbury - but it's in a cutting there, so nipped out 1/2 a mile to a less congested area to get the photo's.

Just heard the Tangmere go back the other way as I type this! (Late - should have been before 9.00pm)

Have got a commission to do a promo film of a steam railway in the next month or two, so was good to have a dry run today.

as the weather was sooooo good today, I thought I'd spend the day.
Rushing to get up.
Rushing to pick up my son from his mates so that.
I could then rush round to pick up my daughter and her BF.
Then drive to Leicester to see her graduate.
Then rush back just to see the sun go down.

But I did get time to set up my new gimbal on the naza gps quad and have a quick test flight in the garden. Man that 5 minutes just made my day. Will fit the 600mw 5.8 emersion Vtx and fly the hell out of this thing tomorrow.

Will do, I'm flying it on a modified version of this quad.

I'm using shorter arms for a sportier feel, and the main frame needed a lot of work to keep cables internal. Not to mention the canopy didn't allow for the ABS shrink rate after printing, and I made space for my 5.8Vtx. The motor mounts also needed reworking as the motor mount holes didn't match my motors. It's looking good though . Simple cable tie construction for most of it, and the rest has the abs welded together with acetone. At least I can print my own spares.

I hope your fingers get better soon, looked like a very painful lesson to learn.

I've not tried a Crius, but I've heard nought but good said about them (all from different vendors though!).

You may get lucky, but expect to have to tune your copter to get the best performance when using the MultiiWii firmware (assuming you're using Wii FW and not MegaPirate. I have no experience of the latter). It's certainly not plug and play like a Naza, or Openpilot. YMMV
