Another very watchable video from you again Martin. Nice one.

Love the little touch at the end.

Would you say the Copter Control FC is the best you've used?

I'm really fighting with a Wii controller, so I'm giving the KK FC board a punt.
Well my favourite is still the multiwii because of cost, the CC worked out of the packet thou & is very tunable because of the nice GUI software.

I like the way you're thinking Alfred.

If you modded some goggles to take two feeds, one to each eye, then the two camera/two VTx can just be pumped into each eye individually. I'm assuming that the two signals would arrive at the same time. Interlacing, sending down one signal and then deinterlacing would be better and make timing between feeds a non issue.

Interesting stuff and i'm surprised its not an off the shelf option already.

(Need to come over your way for a fly soon...)

Should have read further down...

Are Fat Sharks 3D compatible? The ones shown don't seem the best for FPV.

The common way that analog 3D works is by splitting the scan lines. So the first half of each scan like is stretched to cover the entire left eye and the second haft the right eye. The problem is that the cameras need to run synchronously and each of them needs to output the entire scan line in half the usual time.

The only solution to mix the two video signals is to digitise them and then produce a new mixed image. Much better to design a camera with two sensors that run synchronously and output a single video like the nghobbies offering.

I was given one of these cameras. http://www.goelectronic.com/SONY+FCB-IX11A.html

The chap has a lot more what I believe he wants to sell but I don't know what he is asking for them. I will test this one and report on the results. It should be a very high quality camera... and 40x zoom ratio (10x optical, 4x digital) for spy shots

Gifts are also liable for VAT and duty if they exceed certain thresholds.

Charities have a VAT exception status and they claim that VAT back together with all their other purchases when they do their quarterly return. You still have to pay it when the goods get imported.

I spoke to customs today and they stated that if the package has a clear declaration of its purpose with regards this matter - it should not be subjected to importation/vat. They were apologetic but could not change this once its through the system.

On top of this the value they have taxed is almost half that of the UK sterling price. Time to get out the red pen.
