As the club chairman, they would come and knock at my door first. then I would have to produce a report in conjunction with the "offending" member so
we can present our case to the insurance company.
Also a joint visit to the offended party with cap in hand and tail between the legs to offer apologies and do some damage limitations etc etc....
I think we're to be advisors.
Is your club solely for FPV or is it a BMA club as well?

Heh mudlark. Out of out 24 members (I think it's 24 or 26 now) only 5 of us fly FPV. Were BFMA registered and most all of our members don't mind us flying FPV as long as were not directly responsible for shooting down their planes (though they do enough of that on their own :P).

thanks for that
We have about 120 and a lot of them still look at electric flight as the black art so to introduce FPV is almost impossible.

I'll box em and weigh em tomorrow. Figure out the postage. I'd say 40 to make me part with em + whatever postage ends up as (which shouldn't be too bad as they are pretty light).

Our club is BMFA only. those of us flying FPV have also the FPVUK insurance.the reason we declared our small group of flyers as a BMFA club to offer the farmer the benefit of the insurance cover.

Somehow, we have a few fpv fliers here but just by coincidence Luckily the committee (me) is brilliant, open to new ideas and constantly in the quest for fun

I can imagine you in your farm, putting a little patch of grass as set-aside and making your own runway (paved of course) like keithLumeau .

Maybe if you are close to a town you could open a new model emporium where paying members would have access to runways for their planes, race tracks or mud tracks for the rc cars and/or if you have a lake do the boat thing too.

what a business plan !

genius ... I am a genius !!!!

It all should start in about 96 weeks

Don't sound much but it is a little under two years.

I'm stuck here till my son finishes sixth form.

so got lots of time to sell all my stuff
any one after a power lawnmower
a professional petrol hedge cutter and a petrol weed wacker.

That's just the first things that are on my list

need to sell for spending money in two weeks time.

Just keep turning up unannounced until they let you join. Worked for me

Bernie takes the time to keep it all up and running for no reward. Cant thank him enough. Great bunch there, well apart from this one guy who keeps turning up in the same car as me cramping my style with his "rap" music blaring at full blast thinking hes some kind of gangster. And he keeps asking me "do you know what you mean?" Half the time i just don't.
