Here is a short video of a glider flight I had last year. I fastened a cheap ebay keychain cam on the peak of my baseball cap to get the video.

Does anyone have a broken DL or CL receiver that I can take apart for educational purposes? I am trying to learn more about the RF module that is used in them and come up with a way to test them.

As some of you may recall I had some low RSSI readings at FPV Bounce which I have still not solved and I am loosing confidence in the model. No confidence = no fun

Well as everything I buy has a shelf life of about 18 seconds at the moment I'm sure it won't be long before my DL Tx explodes (or gets attacked by unprovoked cows) :P

I presume this is not like the ezuhf where low RSSI is good for you...

Hi

I will be doing some AP on Friday evening at Chertsey Meads, Mead lane, Chertsey on Friday evening about 6 - 6.30pm.

Chertsey Agricultural Show show is taking place at the w/e and I always photo the site before the crowds arrive for the organisers future planning.

If you want to join me, you'd be very welcome

Video I did two years ago

Chertsey Agricultural association Annual Show from RC Plane (2 min 20 sec)

Hi Angelos I haven't got a DL but I have got a 1.2ghz 500mw vtx that took a hit in a crash the other day. How easy is this to fix lol.

Hi I modified my fat shark base editions and replaced the futaba connector with a rj 45 socket.

Will try out some different cables and report back,

Inside I used the pairs as follows, 2 for vid 2 for audio 2 ground and 2 Power.

The connector is solid and clicks when in place, found the standard lead kept braking after repeated abuse.

Here is the vid...

Fatshark Base mod, RJ45 lead (0 min 45 sec)

cheers

John..
Posted earlier but probly got missed

I got a new TX antenna but RSSI still drops faster than it used to. In any case I am on a mission to produce a proper test system for these UHF systems. I like to health check my equipment. Aside from giving me confidence it may also save the plane one day.
