My 100mw used to get quite warm, but never cut out, could be airflow?
What camera are you using?

Even without airflow it shouldn't cut all togeather after 3 mins. Sounds like either a faulty unit or someone at the factory powered if up without an antenna on it and fried it. Send it back. You paid for a 100w transmitter not a 100w heater.

LOL - I was just going to say 'Antenna!' but you beat me to it!

Or as my Amateur Radio Lecturer at college told us:-
"You'll soon know it there is a fault in your co-ax or a problem with your aerial because the TX will get hot and cook the PA!" (Power amplifier)
"Why does it cook the PA? - The power can't go out through the aerial so it has to go somewhere!"

Hi I know this is off topic but because this is a UK thread I'm going to ask anyway lol.

I've just built my new fpv quad with the APM 2.5 board but apparently I don't need power from my esc so I was just wondering if you can get two pin servo female ends so I can use the postive lines for accessories and if so what are they called? I buy from giant shark but it takes 100 years* to search through their products

(*slightly exaggerated lol)

I have 8 various irc vtx's and none of them cut out even when there's no airflow. They do get a bit hot though.

If ever I have to drop down to two pins ill use a red JST connector. Like the ones you'd have on a small lipo. Giantshark sell them in the connectors section under power. The pin pitch is the same as a servo lead and the plugs have polarisation (so you can't plug them in the wrong way round).

Just a thought. The only place I can think that you could get servo connectors that are more or less than 3 pins is either Farnell or RS components but you'd have to buy a thousand to make up the shipping.

My 3D Camera gimbal

OOh look 500 posts!

And for my 500th post:-

Yup, the gimbal loked great. However ther is a slight problem when fitting the chuffing props.
Personally I put it down to bad design of the quad. The arms need to be further apart!

I've had to move the direct drive servo off to the back of the damn mount now. this was something I wanted to avoid.
Hey ho!

Well that it print a small extension piece to push the mount forward an inch or so.
