Well I learnt on the old kk with no auto so I can fly both, but if I'm honest for fpv it will be auto on for a while but when flying LOS I mix between the two depending if I want to throw it around.

Just fly the way that make you happy....and if your flying with it off have a finger on the switch if you need it.

DD: how was down the field today? I'm gonna head down before lunch tomorrow, I wanna get some decent flying in.

The quad is rebuilt light weight and I'm gonna start practicing for this quad racing, will have to put out some of those traffic cones and set a course.

replaced the current sensor on the skywalker and now the hornet seems to be telling me some battery information, yay, now I know if I'm kaning the batteries. Also now have a standard power set up so let's see how long 5000mAh really can last.

The raven is as usual, just soldering on. Good lad.

I seriously can't wait to get in the air.

I've got one of those Raspberry Pi computers and have never even powered it up. Any bright ideas for projects I could use it in before it goes on Ebay?

I had all the intentions of going today but i decided it was too windy. went for a bike ride instead, and yes, it was windy.
I had a quick hover with the H copter and it seems encouraging so I will be playing with this tomorrow.

regarding cones... don't put any near the runway, they are a plane magnet !!!

Ill pop down for the day tomorrow as well .

Looking at a way of making a marker that can be flown through. Simple principle, complicated name. I was looking at silk inflatable bollards, these would take down a plane / quad. Im now looking at water vapour vortex beams :P. basically a water fog generator at the bottom of a venturi with an aperture at the top and a vibrating diaphragm at the bottom. It pumps out smoke rings in quick succession :P.

You could put it in a plane and create your own OSD & Autopilot system? Or you could install XBMC on it and turn it into a media centre.

Nicks flying his quad, that's all of us then and enough to have a good old race.

Don't worry nick, I'll let you have a practice flight first ;-)

Apart from John who has been practicing a lot I think the rest of us are pretty evenly matched, it's more a matter of if the arms fall of CJs printed quad or Frank chops his toes off.

Could you do something with a light shining up through it too? So the fog glows?
