Build one, they're very simple really. I've found it takes a bit of ironing the problems out mind you. Getting great footage such as Crezzee's seems a long way off still.

Mine's based on RC Explorers design, KK2 and this thread.

Another successful day out with the Bixler, can't fault the plane!
Some ace shots, went through 4 flight batteries, just didnt want to stop flying!
Max distance tested was 750 metres with the Nimrods, would of gone further but the EagleTree RTH was being a sod and not kicking in, such a pain to set-up!

GoPro a beaut again, no problems and great footage, just finding out what is the best set-up is

Great shot of the beach Dodge I live on the coast and love flying from the beach, so much space. I posted a beach vid on this thread a few months back if you want to take a look.

On the tri, yes it's all about tweaking things. I think I went through 5 different servos before I found one that works (a 25 year old Futaba one) without stripping. And then it's all the settings in the flight controller etc.

Having said that some people seem to build one and have great success from the beginning.

I've just got back from my second outing with it today. It's a bit too windy for really getting it dialled in but I'm really pleased with progress.

Yeah ill have a look! =]

It is a great place to fly, and plenty of people stop and have a look.
Had to use a LOS/FPV combo today as the glare was on my screen lol

Haha bloody hell, well i'll be taking my time with the quad due to lack of funds, but they look so much nicer to use!

My settings are all over with the quad, but main thing is, it goes up, stays up, and is flyable!

For the TBS EzOSD? They are just standard EzOSD current sensors, firstpersonview.co.uk stock them in xt60 and deans form.

For the core? I've only seen them on their own site.

I would post a link but after yesterday I don't dare...

Few things for sale if anyone's interested:

Easystar 2. Now flogging for 50
Nova OSD. Never used. Earlier firmware version so the current sensor reading is a little off. It can be fixed with a USB updating tool or by soldering a resistor onto the back of the current sensor. If I had the right one I would do it. Not a complicated fix. 60 (retail is 130 I think).

Toshiba DLP FF1 LED projector. Listed elsewhere. Figured I'd pop it on here in case anyone was interested. Specs can be found online. The 2 hour battery is still good and has had little use. Retail is 600. I'm selling for 300.

I've got loads of Turnigy plush ESC's I'm gonna get shot of too in various amp ratings. Ill dig thoes out later and list them on here if anyone's interested.

FMS spitfire. Great nick

4S 4000Mah cells. Can't remember if they're zipped it nanotechs. I think I spent $40 a piece. Ill check out the details when I get the speed controllers in.

When I had my one I rubbed down the surfaces a bit with some 240 wet and dry (while dry) and used 50mm webbed packing tape. It suffers in the sun so I covered it with white covering tape. I tried nylon pin hinges but the foam surfaces flexed too much with only two points of contact.

Thanks CJ,
I was just going to over cover the hinged surface with fibre tape - stops the foam hinge failing but can make the surface stiffer to move - I really don't want to use pin hinges if I can help it but open to idea's here!

I'd be interested in buying a couple of plush ESC's please CJ, that way I could have a few spares.
