Yet to be released, the phrase that has been haunting dragon tracks for a few years now. almost done is another one. I think the expression to hold in your mind is, it's coming, but don't hold your breath.

140*140*100

Considering its all made from threaded rods, has a spring loaded bed and was measured using a piece of MDF, I'm amazed how well it works.

The only critical tweaks are getting the x axis parallel with the bed carriage (digital calipers are required for that) and then it's all down to the thickness of a piece of paper on all four corners of the bed to get it level.

Next job: Print something useful

OSDs: I had a range video (RVOSD gen3). Never tried the autopilot because it looked too complicated (and also relied on IR sensors that don't seem to work very well in cloudy or cold weather). I sold it because it didn't fit on my easy star very well.
I've got 2 Dragon OSD's now. These are great, the autopilot is a doddle to get working and they are much smaller than the RVOSD. Only downside of the DOSD is that it needs a PPM out from your receiver for the autopilot.

VTX if you want to be future proof then your best bet (at the moment) is to get the Immersion 5.8 stuff. I think that 5.8 is the most likely band that will get assigned for proper FPV use. If I right then the ImmersionRC channels are going to be the legal ones. (The current Chinese stuff does not operate on recognised European frequencies).
Thanks - I'll check out the Dragon OSD's - the 'a doddle to get working' bit is looking attractive

I do like a swing wing model...next mod on your skywalker Wayne?

Mitch. Get yourself onto thingiverse and type the model of your printer in the search bar. You'll find loads of printable parts to improve your machines operation. Universal spool holders, fillament feed guides etc... Oh and amazon is currently the cheapest place to pick up ABS and PLA. If you want to print in nylon I can walk you through where to get it and how to dehydrate it before printing with it

Thanks for the offer B,

CJ
I think the early Skywalkers had a swing wing mod, problem was they swung vertically and met above the fuz

He he. It's an option I'm still working on engineering out of my globalhawk. An extra 700watts on top of the reccomended 300watts may possibly give the wings a little more stress than they were engineered for :P

This might be a silly question... I'm looking to build my first proper quad, and want to have a camera onboard for fpv and HD recording, but I can't tell which subforum I'm supposed to use to ask for build advice.
Micro quads is all the rtf stuff like the Ladybird I have, scratchbuild seems to be, well scratch builds, I'm looking to buy bits from hobbyking etc, frame kit, not building it from scratch.

Where should I be asking?
