More likely I didn't do the mag and accel calibrations correctly. It is a great controller, I was just going a bit OTT as usual.

I do love this QAV500
It's now even better with the 4s 5000 pack. 15 minutes flight time.
And dead stable.

tylers green (3 min 46 sec)

Looks good but:--
How strong will the components be? look soft.
How much would the resin cost compare to the roll of plastic.

jeez! that was some kind of impact. So you've progressed from flight controls to ballistics now then?

Lesson learned eh Dave?

Oh BTW your li-po pack is screwed. I put a full charging into last night (@3A) and found that it was 3.8v per cell this morning. I've given it another 3A charge and put another 1927Mah into it.

Indeed the resin costs a bomb!

In other new...
I got my micro quad built today with the motors Mudlark suggested,AUW is 183g with a 950mah 2 cell pack (CC3D and frame/housing) and 33 grams lighter with the Atom instead of the CC3D
Hovers at 1/4 throttle lol, scared to give it the been's as the props want to pull away from the prop saver at anything over 3/5 throttle.

Hoping for 15+ flight time - Pics later.

CJ's Up!+ is very impressive but what else is out there that we have used or own?

In my opinion the Up! Is still your best option. Simply for their amazing software and ease of use. The eventor bot looks pretty good as well, a great deal cheaper but you loose the software advantage.

As for the expensive resin, if I used the ABS sold by Up! That is "designed for my printer" it would cost me 50 per 700g shipped and I could only have white. My current supplier can get me any colour in the rainbow including glow in the dark green and blue, and metallic filament for 33 per Kg shipped. There will always be a cheaper alternative. As the resin looked pretty sturdy to me. That woman whom pulled off the test print from the platform had to give it a pretty firm tug considering the tiny points if contact on the piece.
