ALFREDO.

Now you have really done it. You have opened a "Can of Worms", or maybe "Pandoras Box".

Think of all the Delta Planes which can be constructed in your 3/4" white foam. XB-70, B-58 Hustler, F-102 Delta Dagger, F-106 Delta Dart, F-117 Stealth, SR-71 Blackbird, Mirage 200 just to name a few.

This could become a cult following, especially as such model planes can be built in one day, at minimal cost, and be powered by electric motor, ducted fan, rubber, or even (choke) IC engines.

And GARY, with his BlueCore Paper Plane (B.C.P.P.) makes it even easier, and opens the door to INDOOR flight with this New Genre.

What will it all come to???

Cheers. Patrick.

Thanks for your very kind words......I like more how sound PANDORAS BOX....And man you read my mind....some days ago I thought in an SR-71, I love this build material because my filosophy is the RC must not have to be expensive....low cost/big fun!!!!!

Sincerely when my friend Jorge Fernandez told me about foam, I refused to use it for the millions of tiny balls in my suit after sanded it, but I changed my mind about it and.......NOW I LOVE IT....not as a cult.... but closer to....

The X-24B is a killer prop, but because the motor was damaged, I only got one flight in test proces, but I replaced whit a new one and ....I hope will fly, is some tricky in aileron control, very sensitive and fast....to me, I thought to built one bigger to get more control and stability as the Jedi Star Fighter.

ALFREDO.

You might have to spring for a folding prop.
I have found the Robbe 5 x 3.5 folder to be a great one for DD motors.

Cheers. Patrick.

I am Sorry Alfredo.

I gave you a bum steer there. I meant the Robbe 6 x 3.5 folder which is good for the S400 DD motor, but too strong for the S280. Even the Gunther prop is too coarse pitch for the S280, but excellent for the S400.
The S280 is best with the 5 x 3 props, both fixed and folding.

Sorry about that !!!

Cheers.Patrick.

No problem Patrick, I saw a model with the 280 d.d. gunther prop, and my motor draw up 3 amps with 6 cells, this model used 8 cells and recomended 5 amp esc.

I think is a modest draw to a 280, I thought to install 2 cells more to the jedi Star Fighter with the 280, but as I like to fly SLOW I reinstall the 280 and got 6 cells 110 mAh NiCd to fly it, the NiMh cells not work well....some olders

Our best Wishes.....

ALFREDO.

Would really love to see you do an SR71. It should fly great, if you can keep the nose up in the glide.

I am thinking about the B-58 Hustler, but it would have to land on the motor pods!!!!

Cheers. Patrick.

Landing in pods

I built some months ago and posted it in Electric jets forum a MiG-29, powered with 2 edf-50 from GWS, flew great, built in foam, and landed with....the necelles!!!!
If the model has a structural strenght in nacelles, it could land safely, you can see the MiG29 searching EDF-50 MiG 29 and flight pics in MiG 29 in Taiwan.
As maybe we will make an indoor demostration to get donatives to Macel......now I have in my head a diferent model.....an small 1903 Wrght Flyer capable to fly indoor all balsa... but maybe later, I thought too in build a bigger X-24B, the tinny model is very dificult to fly and as the JSF and the X-24 are very similar, I think will be better than the small 24.

Regards.
