Break Resistant GWS Props

Wouldn't it be nice to have a more break resistant prop. My flying is on grass and I can't use a landing gear, or if I do, the plane nose flips on landing. Seems like the props break very often. Anybody tried taping them?? Maybe 3M77 and strapping tape. Little heavier but may be worth it. Any other ideas???? Or a sturdier prop recommendation... HEY Grish, how about some electric props in the 8x6, 9x6, 9x4, etc. range.

Hoppy, I'm using grish 6x4's nylon on my T-52....Haven't broken it
yet and its the original prop. I also fly on my farm in a grassy field and can't use landing gear. After all the nose ins and regular
landings, prop aint broke.

Dave...

After breaking far too many 9x7 GWS props on my Tiger Moth, I have switched exclusively to APS props. Haven't broken one yet. Also have never broken any of the larger GWS props. But I think that any of the 9-inch and smaller GWS props are suspect. The APS props are too good, so why bother with trying to reinforce the GWS props?

Damaged a Grish 6x4 by slamming into a chain link fence with my T-52. Also dinged a Grish 6x3 by finding the one rock in a mud field (also T-52).
Snapped a Zagi prop by screaming down the runway JUST a little too low.
Snapped a GR 8" folder while unsuccessfully dodging a tree with my Windstar.
Other than that, no problems.
But I always have at least 1 spare of each type I use.

Hoppy,

Post your question in the Slowflyer section in the
thread started by GWS4CEO.

He's the CEO and owner of GWS and makes the props.

His name is Lin.

I see Master Airscrew has electric only props now...My order is going out ASAP I talked to Mr Grish, and he is thinking about making props in these sizes. Drop him a note if you want to spur him along.
