Beriev BE-200 amphibious jet
Here's a little video of the first public flight of Tom Blakeney's Beriev BE-200 at the SMALL fly-in in Little Rock last weekend. Informative thread at-
Great flight of a beautiful model of a beautiful aircraft.
Note all the helpful advice given by the onlookers- they're a tough crowd!

huge grin here and I wasn't even there!
Absolutely beautiful flight and landing... I was hoping you'd continue on your ROG! lol!
Congratulations on a fantastic project and performance!
I have this little 30mm on my work station pulling a battery across the desk and my brain is going a million miles an hour!
Ok... back to work here..

All the other 6 flights made at SMALL were indeed Rise Off Grass.... That blip at the end of the video was a trial run to check acceleration.
The good news is that 6-8 minute flights, mostly at reduced power, were only taking about 500 mAh out of the 1300 lipo....seems to be running very efficiently at cruise power and the battery comes out at very near skin temperature.

I added a good bit more detail about the build on the post in the Scale forum, starting at post 21:
I have a group of interesting models planned that are definitely NOT "me-too" projects...
