Funny you say that... went in to local shop one day to buy a Gibson Songwriter Deluxe I was getting a deal of a lifetime on... decided to plunk around on the Taylor while the guy was writing up the Gibson... well, you can see which one I left with

Hey, man.

The top ones are just shy of 69mm... bottom ones are 75mm. .020" carbon fibre rod and foam safe thick CA. I made tiny little pads at the 8 attachment points first with thick CA applied with a toothpick. I'll update my blog.

If you crash into trees etc. you might dislodge one and it might take a flake of paint/foam with it... re-glue it and you can't even tell. They are functional and do work. My horizontal stabilizers are so creased from pre-mod crashes they wouldn't even function without these braces... nice and firm again

I used these pics for placement...

Not, yet. It's in the hangar, and with the 60mph winds we're getting this week, it's moving up fast in the cue! I've got to finish my Pitts Model 12 and Blade Huey--then it's back to the UMs!

Isn't it kinda funny? Are all of us RC pilots, in to musical instruments? Seems like we have a lot of common interest. Love that Taylor. One day I shall have one. Good luck with the flooding and hope the best about the Mic.

Sorry nightfox, Your right, this is an airplane thread. I guess we are just experiencing a little "cabin fever" while waiting out these long winter months!

I'm just yanking your chains around, because, I too, have been inside much too long

Don't fall for it, he's just stringing you along.

OK, so I am a guitar enthusiast myself!

And, I am on my 2nd Champ. Still hoping Champ #1 will someday fly back home!

I hope Champ #1 will fly back home too! I like the personal touches you've done to Champ #2.

Okay, I just received a fresh batch of 600 mAh 1S 35 70C Nano-Techs. Not the best battery money can buy, I know, but that's what I have here. I plan to run them just a short time 3-4 minutes the first few cycles, and then be mindful thereafter as well.

So before I do something terrible to them right off the bat, is there a charging rate I should hit them with the first time? My charger is the generic Celectra variable rate 0.1 to 0.7 thing that comes with most E-flite RTF kits. What's my best rate to start, and then later after the initial break-in?

Thanks in advance for advice.
