No need for ebay, waiting, and spending. Simply shrink multiple layers of heat shrink tubing onto a 1.5mm drill bit/wire until it's built up enough to snugly fit into the 5043. Trim after inserting and screw the prop onto the motor shaft. Simple and effective.

yep there are a few propellers out there that have a thickness in diameter.

I chose the few dollar route has a better look Adds a tad of weight,

with a home made job, slippage may happen? with the machine made one the hex screw may come loose?

Either way they are great options. with mine just remember to add locktite to the hex screw and keep an eye on the screw, its aluminum, ad glueing it will cause that screw to snp with some force.

Like the carbon thread that is in rolls, I assume you could run a small thread under the wing and CA it in place and it would be quite stiff.

I got my champ today and put 1.5" mini lite wheels on it and it looks quite great!

I know for a fact that he did... I remember him trying to figure out what I had done from my first pics I posted back in the summer

Hey, Mike... did you ever get some "show off" video? Mine's still sitting here on my hard drive... have been too lazy to upload it

Mike's wheels are the ones I started with... T-28 wheels (PKZ4406). I'm on version 2 and 3 of mine and am now using DuBro foams that I shaped and removed the tread from (1-3/4" and 2")... mine and Mike's have been removed from their original hubs... one of the benefits of this is the center hole is a fair amount smaller than you might realize once you've gotten rid of the flange on their stock rims regardless of which brand of wheel... the tires themselves actually look scale to the real Alaskan Bushwheels, which have a very small rim diameter compared to the tire diameter. If you leave them on their stock plastic hubs they're not only heavier but they don't look "right" if a true bushwheel is what you're after.
