The model is intended as one to potter around with at the field, and for my daughter to have a go with, it should go well on 8-cell hecells . . . for a little over three minutes.

There's plenty of power !

Weight is only 28oz.

Hi Haldor,

Do you also think the hecells will cope ?

I'm sure it'll not need full power for 'cruise' . . .

Well it is a while since I started this thread, and, as Haldor suggested, I've been enjoying it !
( So have a few others )

With the 8-cell 1100 Hecells it now flies for over five minutes per charge !
We have a page online from which you can download the videos, which are in AVI format: Here

Some of you may need to download a viewer to see these, I suggest you use the VirtualDub-1.5.4 viewer. ( downloadable fom the link. )
Download to a folder, unzip it to the same folder and run it from there - no need to install

As can be seen from the videos ( shot with a digital camera - not fantastic quality - but it does work ! ) it is not bad for a model flying on only 160W.

The videos were shot before I removed a diode across the motor terminals - it now flies even faster !

The picture above is a still from one of the videos.

Keven,

Looks and flies great. Windows media plays the video very well.

Good job.
