Careful!
Afghanistan... let the good times roll. NOT!

Even the people from the NY Times were disgusted by our wonderful Poo Pond smack in the middle of our little "paradise" we call Kandahar Air Field. Nice little write up, and acctually accurate and TRUE!

Thanks guys. It could be worse thats for sure. Every tour gets a little "better" but, there is always something that stands out. This time, its the smell for sure.

Well, there are worse things, but, even so, the smell here is pretty high up there on my list of things I dont ever wanna have to deal with again! Its only a year. Im sure I'll make it. Just watch though, 20 years from now they will do a study that says prolonged exposure to human poop smell causes insanity, breast cancer, bad breath, hair loss, athletes foot, diabetes and testicular elephantitis. Thats just my luck.

I've got a co-ax heli that I picked up--quite a few guys here are into helis. It beats not flying anything, but I can't seem to get too into it.

The DX5e/AR500 that I bought here on RCGroups arrived...now I'm going to try to pick up an EPP Yak or something that can handle a little bit of wind. I think I have a place to fly...but won't really know if it's big enough until I try it. Would be the first RC plane I've seen here though. It's hard to round up EVERYTHING that's needed.

Have you gotten your plane in the air yet?

sheez they waist so mutch energy getting fuel there while they sit right on a source of methane to run generators on.

The old porta potty is no picnic at 110 degrees, but that's got to be a heck of a stench
