s022 paint

Hey guys.. After a week or so of flying this thing I decided to paint it flat black to look more like the ones i've been in so heres a few pics Unfortunatly i got one of the random full throttle ones but getting used to it by bliping the throttle stick occasionally. Got a good working charger and despite a few crashes and almost flying away my first time this things a blast lol

Found some black and white nailpolish so i painted the side windows so they shine a bit and painted the rotor tips white so i could see them while flying. Its a body-off paint job in case anyone's wondering why the bottom tray thingy is still green. I know the color isn't for everyone but i like it

Well after all it is a dolly-copter.

At least you didn't go with Barbie Pink or make clothes to dress it in yet.

If it is the Syma part for an S022 I believe it should be 600mAh.

battery

Hi all: Does anybody have any thoughts on my battery charging problem? I never see any change in the red and green lights, even after 2 hours of charging. The battery is cool inside the heli after 2 hours charge.
Thanks.

If the battery seems to be taking a charge and the heli flies with expected power and duration then your charger may have a minor bug in it I suppose. But more likely either the charger or the battery has a serious problem.

I assume you realize this though (duh...) but beyond that you'd probably need to hear from a multi-S022 owner who can shed more light (heh heh) on your charger light pattern.

Of the two I suspect the one that fits best inside and has matching connectors and connector polarity is best (yeah, another "duh..." comment from me). Aside from that 20C is better and won't hurt anything.

Unless you give us links to these batteries that show more detailed specs (for sizes and connectors, they never bother telling us about polarity) it would be hard to give a better answer unless somebody here has actually tried one or the other.

As a sidenate, I think somebody could make some bucks with a battery sales site for low-end lipos if they provided a good range of choices and the details we need, including known compatibility with popular devices (helis, etc.).

They could reduce the workload by having a forum-style site in parallel with the store with links from each product's store page to a sub-forum-like page accepting brief user compatibility test results. Adding a search by device make & model could take buyers to links to user-suggested compatible batteries in the store (sales) site.

The downside is that for the small merchant this can be tough. Lipos have a shelf life making it hard to stock a ton of everything, and there are so many, many sizes and capacities.

SubtleT: Thank you. From reading these posts I am worried about an overcharge. I wrote to the seller, but... no response back from them. I may have to get Amazon involved.
Sighhh.

You might want to ask about this in the Batteries and Charging forum.
