Both create interference. I'm anxious to see the answer

Geez, I just asked one simple question since it was already brought up. I'm not trying to take over your thread! Sorry for bringing it up.

The standard is the negative is the lead with the writing on and the positive is marked with a white stripe. as for the connector its probrobly positive centre pin but the sticker / imprint on the booster should tell you that if you need to know. (or just stick a continuity meter across it)

Would this mod still work ok if you kept the original antenna in place and added an extra socket to the case to plug the booster into? (preferably so you can switch between the standard and the boosted output)

And if so would it work ok if the lead from the DX7 to the booster was about 2m long?

Id like to run a system like this but would prefer to place the booster on my ground station and not add all the equipment direct to the Tx. Not least as it would be kind of overkill for my blade msr.

Sure it would work if you kept the same antenna. See the DIY link.

If you using a 2m coax to the booster, then you wouldn't need the attenuator. Again, see the DIY link.

Oh ye of little faith.

The failsafe trigger was caused by me to see which way home was.

Deleted video because it served it's purpose.
