Thanks for the info crash9 and Crist!

Took some pics of the final mods, could remove the stock antenna but it really isn't in the way. Also, used the recharge opening to output the pigtail to avoid any drilling as I do not have rechargeable batteries for the Dx6i....

My DX6i has a C-France power setting. Does anyone else have it? I put up a thread on it and someone said it has a power output of 10mw. Can anyone confirm this. If that was the case I wouldn't have to worry at all.

Thanks

Use a voltmeter to be sure. I don't remember which is which.

Because nobody who knows this stuff will be buying a Turnigy radio. You can do it, but you would need to figure it out yourself. This thread is about the DX7. In order to make it easier for folks to find information and to keep things organized, it would be best to create a new spot for that particular radio. It is popular enough that people will be looking for it probably.

that's putting words in his mouth.

msev, I think the concept is the same. It'd be cool to get help from posters here in this thread too.

i say go for it. testing with my 9x and the 1280mhz vtx I get very poor range maybe 1000' in good conditions.

Captaingeek do you use a filter on your video transmitter to kill the first harmonic frequency like the OMM's filter?

jasmine2501 has a good point on staying on topic. Please keep this thread on topic using a DX7 and a booster.
Thank you.

Will this work for powering my dx6i and booster? I'm hoping i can use the power switch on my dx6i to turn the dx6i and booster on. I would solder onto the feeds for the standard dx6i battery setup with positive to the positive end of the ubec, and negative to the positive end of the booster.
