At least yer blood was too cold to drain, extending the flying time. I'm betting it was a sight to watch you cauterize the ends of the fingers on the catalytic converter.

First of sorry to here about GIL.I didn't know him but hate to lose a fellow flyer.
Now I guess i should have put ski's on my planes we could land on our field with out hitting any rocks. we have about 5 inches of the white stuff on the ground up here in Gilmer.Boy I'm tried of this winter to cold to windy or it's raining or snowing. I hope that all of this ends soon tell then see y'all here on the club web page.

I dont know why you are having trouble. You might try going directly to FG and registering first like we discused at the field. If that doesn't work I don't know. Sorry.

Hey guys,

I am selling all my 72 mhz stuff. I have several receivers and a nice Futaba 7c computer radio. If interested let me know. I also have a u-can do with 7 servos and an os 4 stroke 70LA i believe with a real nice wing bag. Need to sell to generate funds for my 100cc Extra.

Disaster narrowly averted

John Hutti (sp) narrowly averted disaster with his new Goldberg Cub. He was doing a left approach but wrongly corrected to keep the wings level throwing him into a 270 degree turn and landing on the right of way north of the field.

I say landing because the plane was sitting on its wheels without visual damage. It did turn out that a wing hold down block had stressed the plywood where it was glued but that looked to be the extent of the mishap.

John was fortunate to get the plane leveled out as it went down. It may have been skill... but from what I saw, a little bit (perhaps a lot) of luck was in play.
