SkyArtec makes the skyfun (opposed to the common belief that Art-Tech makes it)

If you're interested in it, the motor has to be upgraded first. The stock 1800kv & 18A ESC just dont cut it for me Everything else was great!

Getting Braver (8 min 5 sec)

Ahh, finally enjoying the fruits of my labor.

The plane is performing as I would expect it to now. The only problem is my Futaba 168DF reciever lets through major glitches if I fly through interference. There is one spot on the video I thought I was done for! This delta wing doesnt deal with servo twitches very well! I think I'll order another corona...

My mic is working also - however, there is so much wind noise under the canopy with motor off, you cant even hear servo movements, which I was kinda hoping for. I wonder if sealing off the canopy better would improve the situation?

The regulator & step up converter are doing thier job very well, and do not get anything more than warm. I steal 7.4v from the balance connector on my 11.1v 2200mah to power the cam and TX now. The battery hardly slips out of balance, plus - The camera is CLEAR! (as clear as i can expect from the cx161).I think the UBEC I used to power the 5v cam was destroying picture quality also. The 5v linear reg is much cleaner.

Oh well, let me know what you think!

High speed = highly recommended

At first I wondered if I could think fast enough to fly a jet fpv, but its the only way to fly! Now, if I could rely on my RC signal a bit better, it would be even better.

Yep, Im still flying this thing. I've stuck with 72mhz due to FPV. 2.4ghz control isnt good for the type of flying I like.

I have modded this plane beyond recognition. (crash repairs mainly) Unbelievable how long this plane has lasted me, considering what I have done to it!!!

Hey mate, just got a HK email telling me my Skyfun has shipped .

I have the same ebay motor as you, also.

Do you think this thing could carry an extra 100grams(Gopro) as well as fpv gear?.

Cheers, Kev.

HK also do a smaller 600mm span version.... wing loading should be fine with an FPV setup loaded on.

I'm tempted by both this and the skyfun...

for uk folks this is the skyfun, but with different stickers

Doesn't come with servos ect so even with shipping hk is proabably cheaper.

Yep I put the 3 servos from giantcod in my multiplex funjet and they worked fine.

The Skyfun is a blast to fly. Havn't Fpved it yet thought as I'm just starting with fpv.

And if you wreck any part of it you can get spares here(look at his other items for other parts)

Snap! Great minds Kev. Mine shipped today. Did you get yours yet? I too want to mount a go pro. I was also thinking of using a 5000mAh battery, not sure if it'll be too heavy with all of that gear.

Can you post pics of your layout when you build?

I am using this motor, should scream... 3400KV, 350W

Yea Gree, test flew it the same day i got it(Tuesday) hahaha.

I only used a 30 ESC and a 1800mAh 3s with a low c rating, so they got quite hot lol, but she flew great, had the rates a bit high but other that that, she's a keeper .

Cheers, Kev.

Edit, canopy clips are useless .

I mean did you fly it FPV? I'd like to see how you are laying it all out... Are you putting an OSD in it?

This is going to be my cloud catcher so I making sure it can do long range...
