Pop Pop steam boat group

I just thought I would post a picture and a link to a Yahoo Groups site I have been introduced to.

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/pop-pop-steamboats/

I met Daryl Canada and he is one of the most inventive and prolific pop pop boat experimenters I have ever seen.

EDIT

Throw -puttputt4video- into a search on Youtube any time and see his amazing videos..

here are some pictures of just two of his boats for a teaser..

enjoy

They need RC gear!

Very neat. Always liked the super simple pop-pop concept.

Very nice Bernhard!
It is hard to tell in the photos but what are you using for a heat source?
It that a wick under the coil?
Do you use alcohol or gas?
How long is the boat? Thanks, Dave.

Bernhard,
I am confused, the photos show a coil engine, but the sound is a diaphragm engine?
Regards,
Gerald.
