Don and Mr. Kite,

Thanks for the interest. I have you both added. I am working on a crude but functional website where, hopefully, I will be able to post more detailed information. When it is ready I will post a link here. It will have field locations, event dates and other relevant information. I would like to get to a point where I can make an event announcement here and simply point people to the website for all the details.

I remember that day very well. 78 paces if my memory serves. You have given me a great idea for my events this summer, a hand throw distance contest. Each pilot stands in a given spot, gets 3 steps and tosses their plane. Furthest glide wins, if you actually thermal it out you get something special, besides bragging rights that is.

It could help teach people to read the air, the importance of a well balanced plane and who knows what else. I like it.

By the way, the Riser is a finely tuned gliding machine these days. You and Mr. Kite may be biting off more than you can chew.

Aerial Video from 2 Meter Sailplane

It was so good to see so many people turn out for the soaring group meeting in Rochester. Wayne, you have done a wonderful job in finding flying sites. Speaking of flying sites, last fall I rubberbanded my Sony Bloggie camera on my 2 meter sailplane and flew around where I fly in Winona. I hope to create more videos with this camera although it is rather heavy 5 ounces but the quality is good.

Hi Wayne,

I sent you two private RCGroups emails with AMA club information, and other topics.

Regarding your website, it might be worthwhile to talk to our club's webmaster, Mike Glaser, who has done a fantastic job with ours since he took it over two or three years ago.

Hi Jeff,

I did get the PM's. You have a great collection of information there. It will surely help. As to getting a website up and running lets just say that website design is not my strongest skill. I will try to contact him but my concern will be that he will talk to me about web coding and I will be lost. I will try though.

Mr. Kite,

Very nice showing at the contest. The weather looks like it was just a little warmer than it was here. Given the same opportunity I probably would have missed my own meeting. You are welcome to any event we have, hope to see you this summer.
