My Switchback-Better late than never.

I finally joined the ranks of the Switchback Owners of Planet Earth. Maiden should be tomorrow if the weather cleans up a little. It's running a 280bb and GWS B box until the RZ2500 gets here. A few pics before tomorrow:

Nice looking SB. It'll fly nice even on the 280bb, but the Razor will knock your socks off. When is it coming in?

Yahoooooo! That's a beauty, Mark.

What type of covering did you use?

We are looking forward to your flight report!

It's Pearl White and Metallic Wine Monocote . Doug about had kittens when I told him I used it. So it's a bit "porky". The "cool factor" makes up for it, IMO. I had it, I used it.

I've been waiting for the Razor 2500 (2 actually) for a few weeks now. I hope they make it in the next week or so. Castle Creations is a very popular vendor for good reason and Matt's been hard put to keep Patrick in stock.

I was wandering through Toys R Us and saw Kermit. I knew he had to go flying.

Thanks for the approval, gang. It's only my second balsa build with the MM DuskStik being my first. Gotta love that Doug! Foamies are still great for durability but balsa gives me a pride of ownership that other materials can't. My $.02.

SOPE for short. We at SOPE wish to clean up the parkflyer community with our squeaky and polished flying. Instructions for flying the switchback are as follows: Takeoff, fly, land, repeat

Welcome to the club, Mark! That looks really good

Mark,
It is indeed a beautiful built SB. I think you will be surprised at the durability of the MM kits. Bellanca was always impressed with wood in their aircraft. Wood seems to handle stress well. Especially the stress of me flying it.

Peace,

Hi Mark, VERY nice looking Switchback. Welcome to SOPE. You won't even notice the extra covering weight once the Razor is in there.

You should be in for a real treat on the maiden, prepare to have a new favorite plane.

Best of luck,

BC

is that a wheel on the tail, or just a tail skid?

Your Switchback looks great.
