APC slowflyer on an IPS A gearbox?

How the heck do you mount an APC slowflyer prop on a stock IPS-A gearbox?

You'll need a 3mm prop adapter.

www.toddsmodels.com
www.ecubedrc.com
both sell them and offer great service.

I used a piece of fuel tubing on the gear shaft. When the prop washer and nut are tightend down it compresses and holds the prop nicely

My method:

A 3mm locking nut goes on the shaft first to keep the assembly from turning.
A washer
A 3mm nut
The prop with adapter inserted
Another washer and nut.

Step one...... all the parts, and lock nut already on gearshaft.

Thanks for all the help. I knew I'd get a few choices if I posted it here

I'm lazy. Since the nice machined aluminum adapters specifically for this purpose aren't available any more, I use the parts GWS sells just for this. There are two suitable adapters in the package. Todd's Models and AeroMicro have them, among others. A picture can be seen on AeroMicro's site on this page:

http://www.aeromicro.com/Catalog/gws...1__1017350.htm

You do have to cut off the small end to get the prop nut fit tightly, though.

I don't know why this URL doesn't work if you click on it - somehow R/C Groups is adding some "%20" and such into it that aren't there, and then it doesn't work. The link is from about halfway down the "propellers, others" page on the AeroMicro site.
