I order from HK and it works just fine for me.
Why did they ever put a USA warehouse? Does it physically exist? Or is it just a SEO rating stunt???
Should have read this first. I ordered the ASW 28 Glider (foam version) from HKUSA and paid 40 bucks for shipping/handeling! And who the heck knows when they are going to get it to me. "Ships in 7-21 Days". Does that mean its in stock? Or it needs to be sent from HK to the USA warehouse, THEN me? The only reason I ordered from HKUSA is because its the only way I can get the ASW Glider shipped to me.
I am carefull about stuff and this was putting out red flags all over the place!
Thanks for your input Purefun!

Just so I understand properly, is it a fake site where they take your money and never ship? Or are customers receiving their items and faster than hobbycity.com? (i.e. If they claim 7-21 days and the product is out of stock in China??) I feel like there would be some legal issues with this practice and they way they've taken the website stats, everything from hobbycity.com (even up to the reviews...)
I posted this in another thread. I ordered on the morning of the 26th, if I had seen this thread I wouldn't have ordered.
"I placed an order back in May and haven't seen nor heard from them. The thing is I thought they were related because they are flying HobbyKing's logo on the web site. Never the less I don't have any product after a month and they charged my credit card. Emails and phone calls have gone un-answered so I am opening a dispute with my credit company.
If anyone is interested or needs the info this is the contact information my credit card company gave me for HKUSA.
Holder: CPH Hobby
Phone Number: 1-707-845-6959
Definitely stay away from these guys, this is looking more and more like a scam."
When I first saw the site I also thought it was the Hobby King US branch.
After looking into it, I could smell a skunk!
That is why I started this thread hoping it would generate some attention and may be It could help some from being taken.
I am sure Hobby King Hong Kong does not worry much as the don't really have any competition out there. I still think they should send a cease and decease letter to this clowns.
May be you can look up the info I posted in post # 5 and contact the local Better Business Bureau. May be if there are enough complains they will be done in.
Also, I would alert the proper governing authorities. May be you can start here:
Let us know what comes out of this dispute.
I started beating the drum about this and if we join together we could have a whole symphony orchestra and and we will be heard for sure!
Anyone with a blog should post a link to this thread on their blog. This could prevent others to deal with such a pain in the buttocks situation.
I had my Identity stolen after I orderd an Item on ebay. My credit card company refunded the fraudulent charges right away and sent me a new card with a new number. It took me over 6 months to have my bank at the time Bank Of America to deal with the problem. I had to shutdown 2 personal accounts and 2 business accounts and a savings. Their customer service was the worst and I will never bank with them again.
When I first found Hobby King Hong Kong, I did a lot of research on the internet for blogs, and other to see how many people actually did business with them, if the orders placed were received, etc... Then I took the plunge.
I only order via regular registered mail, and yes it takes a bit of time on occasion, but for the price I am not complaining.
Here is a bit of info:
What can I do with Reverse IP?
Phishing/Scam sites often come in groups. If you find one do a Reverse IP look up to find the other scam sites hosted on the same server as the one you found.
And yes they also have turnigyusa.com( that will take you to HobbyKingUsa site.
Here is a link that will forward an email to these low lives:
Look at the pics attached, a little work in paint and you get a logo that will trigger visual recognition, provide a false sense of security, and therefore lure visitors to give out their sensitive personal info, and all that from doctoring a possibly "stolen" logo!
And where is the ®symbol???
Spread the word!
Best of luck with your situation,
Interestingly enough after numerous un-answered emails and un-returned calls, when I opened a dispute with my credit card company HKUSA canceled the order for me. I guess that's the way it works, they take your money, don't communicate, and hope you don't ask for basic customer service. I guess I pissed someone off there. I'll see if my credit card gets refunded. Worst part is I'm still without the batteries I need. I had better luck going to HK directly in Hong Kong.
I got back from vacation and checked my credit card account and found that HobbyKing USA reversed the charge on my card after canceling the order. The credit card company took care of the whole affair. If these guys are ever going to want to be considered legit they better get their act together and improve customer relations. For right now they make themselves appear as if they are taking money and not providing product. I'd take a pass and go to HK directly or find a local vendor.

I placed a order from Hobby king they sent me the wrong transmitter for what we use in the USA, then they charged me over $75. or more just to ship the crap to me, but this gets better, after 5 weeks I had to run the order down in the mail, as I e-mailed them over and over they told me this is just how long it takes? R they NUTS? I have paid less from other CO.'s and got my order in a week! I ordered some batteries marked from the USA offices and still after 3 weeks have not seen them? OK not a good place to order! If you add the shipping and Handling I can get this from a a lot of other places at 1/3 the shipping and at 2 weeks or less time shipping! I will not be ordering from Hobby King they are just to messed up!? and they took all the my order out of the original boxes? what the he11?
